About The Unit
The unit, 3CN/4CN/5CN offers a dynamic patient care experience. 3CN is a ten‑bed unit specializing in general surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients. 4CN is a cardiovascular and thoracic surgery unit that receives patients directly from the ICU and monitors patients on various anti‑arrhythmics. 5CN focuses on discharge planning and readiness.

Scopeof Work
Provides care to patients according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and documents services. Provides observer services for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize patient safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience preferred.
- Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
