Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Machining Engineer at our location in Saginaw, Michigan. The Machining Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing U. S. Graphite’s vision, mission and values, guiding and supporting business strategies and plans, developing executable machining processes and supporting shop floor activities, provides support to operations team, develops and improves manufacturing/machining processes by studying product and manufacturing methods, creates and modifies CNC programs for machining processes, as well as design fixtures and tooling for operations, manufacturing processes and material handling, determines calculations and design for new equipment and process improvement, creates and maintain technical drawings for processes, tooling, and fixtures to support manufacturing operations.

ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015 standards, and ensure adherence to legal guidelines and business ethics.

Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing machining including manual and CNC machines
  • Experience in CNC programming, GDT, schematics, manufacturing layout and routings
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and support a team
  • Knowledge of carbon and graphite materials and their applications a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field preferred
