Job SummaryThe College of St. Scholastica seeks qualified adjunct faculty to support undergraduate nursing students in clinical, lab, and/or classroom-based learning environments
. Adjuncts may express interest in teaching at either the Duluth or St. Cloud campus.
$1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses
$1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period
(Any future updates to per-credit rates will be reflected within the electronic contract.)
Key Responsibilities Clinical TeachingInstruct undergraduate nursing students in clinical rotations at partnering healthcare facilities.
Collaborate and communicate with course faculty and clinical partners to ensure learning objectives are met.
Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a safe and effective clinical learning environment.
Follow professional standards and best practices.
Participate in course-specific orientation.
Lab TeachingTeach and support undergraduate nursing students in the nursing lab environment.
Demonstrate, supervise, and evaluate student performance in lab and simulation settings.
Ensure alignment with course objectives and program outcomes.
Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive lab learning environment.
Participate in course-specific orientation.
Classroom TeachingEnsure course objectives and undergraduate program outcomes are met.
Evaluate student learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
Participate in course-specific orientation.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) for clinical and lab instruction
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required for all classroom instruction
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff
Ability to complete orientation and training within the first month of hire
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) completed or in progress
Prior teaching experience (lab, simulation, or clinical instruction)
