Role Specific Introduction:
The Commissioning Engineer is an exciting opportunity for driven professionals ready to make their mark in a rapidly growing practice. Since 2020, Faith Group has built one of the few firms that specialize in Commissioning Highly Specialized Technology Systems, Low Voltage, IT, Security, A/V, Cybersecurity, and MEP. With an on-prem data center and innovation laboratory, we deliver cutting-edge services and technology partnerships that clients can't find anywhere else.
This role is ideal for ambitious builders and big dreamers looking for a company that will support their growth and vision. As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll execute technical commissioning activities while developing the skills needed to advance toward Commissioning Lead and beyond. You'll work on innovative projects, gain exposure to business development, and be mentored by experienced leaders who are invested in your success.
The role requires both office-based and on-site engagement. On-site presence may include job walks, bid walks, testing, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.
Location: This role is onsite at our headquarters in St. Louis, MO, with travel as project needs dictate.
Primary
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute commissioning activities, including development of test scripts, functional testing, and verification of system performance.
- Conduct pre-functional and functional testing of low-voltage systems, including networks, AV, security, and other building technology systems.
- Document commissioning findings, maintain issues logs, and track resolution of deficiencies.
- Participate in site observations, job walks, and construction meetings.
- Assist in the development of commissioning plans, schedules, and closeout documentation.
- Contribute to commissioning reports and deliverables under the guidance of the Commissioning Lead or Project Manager.
- Support coordination with contractors, design teams, and facility owners during testing and verification activities.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and translate technical observations into clear communications.
- Assist with proposal development, fee estimating, and participation in bid walks as opportunities arise.
- Attend industry events, site visits, and client meetings to support business development and build professional relationships.
- Demonstrate initiative and a desire to take on leadership responsibilities as the practice continues to grow.

Requirements:
- 2–4 years of commissioning, consulting, construction administration, integration, or technology field experience.
- Experience with low-voltage systems, including networks, AV, security, and building technology systems preferred.
