Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy
Find your calling at Mercy!Supports and assists the Pharmacist in the preparation, distribution, and inventory control of medication and performs other duties as necessary for the provision of patient focused pharmacy services. Assists with training of pharmacy technicians, has been trained and is a resource person for specialty area and has an active role in improving workflow. The Pharmacist will check all medications and preparations before they are dispensed.

The Pharmacy Student Technician assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and are accountable to the supervising pharmacist who is legally responsible for the care and safety of the patients served by the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician follows applicable standards and federal, state & local laws and regulations for the care and safety of the customers and patients served.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy and entering the 4th professional year (P4).
Licensure:
- Must be registered in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of practice, either as a Pharmacy Intern or Pharmacy Technician

Experience:
- Must have successfully met all requirements for progression through the P1 year.
