Overview

Organizes and administers clinical and technical support service in the Department of Anesthesia and the Operating Room by assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care. Functions in staff role as needed. Assumes supervisor duties as delegated by the Manager of Perioperative Support. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.

• Participate in supervision of Operating Room functions by organizing and coordinating anesthesia needs of practitioners, ensuring minimal delays.
• Clinically assist in rooms when needed.
• Act as liaison for specialty to all shifts, providing communication and training assistance.
• Develop and nurture effective work relationships and communication with physicians, staff, students, and other departments.

• Bachelor's degree in a health‑care related field.
• Certification as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Preferred: 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in an SSAT hospital.
