Full Steam Staffing is hiring a Bilingual Area Manager for the Central Coast area! This role oversees branch operations, supports team performance, and partners with clients to drive growth and service excellence.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $85,000/YR
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (after-hours and weekend availability)

Job Purpose: The Area Manager must have a proven record of leading and developing successful office and on-site teams in order to achieve positive results. The Area Manager is responsible for achieving and maintaining the financial health associated with their respective branches by controlling expenses, overtime, and other miscellaneous expenditures. They will be responsible for the hiring, firing, mentoring, discipline, development, and motivation of all employees associated with their operations.
The Area Manager will also be responsible for working with all support staff to effectively complete necessary duties regarding accounting, human resources, and compliance consistent with policies, procedures, and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Growth of the overall revenue of the Area through top-tier service to our existing Clients and controlling expenditures.
- Conducts regular meetings with Branch Managers and On-Site Teams to ensure all staff are adhering to compliance initiatives, fostering discussion about how to improve existing processes and practices as well as identifying new methods of sourcing top talent.
- Experience with high-volume recruiting.
- Knowledgeable of operations of multiple offices, payroll, safety, Human Resources (HR) and onboarding processes.
- Working knowledge of the staffing industry.
- Leadership skills, including but not limited to performance management, coaching, counseling, supervision, training, personal development, etc.
- Experience with process implementation and support.
- Requires excellent communication and presentation skills; candidates must have the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, upper management, etc., in both formal and informal situations.
- A high degree of creative ability, analytical and technical skills, and independent judgment.
- Ability to handle high levels of responsibility.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, projects, and events.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent project management.
- Able to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong sense of initiative and urgency.
- Coordinates with Human Resources (HR), Sales, and Safety to identify opportunities for further expansion of services amongst the current client base.
- Develop a partnership with the Sales Manager in the Area to ensure Sales is apprised of all operations respective to their Clients, as well as soliciting feedback from Sales about Client concerns or other areas of service improvement from Operations.
- Fosters a strong working relationship with all Clients in the Area, to ensure all Clients receive top-quality service and support, as well as leveraging the relationship for the continued growth of business.
- Works closely with the Client and Human Resources to identify trends related to retention, turnover, morale, and other employee concerns.
- Implement a performance management program, ensuring performance expectations are being set and policy guidelines are being met. Periodic reviews of staff performance must be conducted effectively and in a timely manner.
- Works closely with Branch Managers and On-Site staff to ensure all team members are adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Assists HR with Investigations, employee complaints and any legal matters. Coordinate the resolution of employee issues and conflicts in a timely manner With guidance from Human Resources, provide counsel on employee issues.
- As needed, provides coverage On Site and in the Branch. Acts as a backup in the processing of payroll, as needed.
- Implementation and support of the safety programs implemented by the Safety Director.
- Perform and submit safety walks conducted while visiting Client sites.
- Periodically audit at Branches and On Site locations using the Audit Template and submit Audit findings to Regional Manager weekly.
- Knowledgeable of time and attendance systems (e.g., Jantek, Novatime, uAttend, AMG, etc.), State-specific payroll requirements (5th hour meal penalties, final paycheck procedure, wage notices, Paid Sick Leave benefits and accrual process), workers compensation policies and procedures as well as ACA benefits. Must be able to articulate about each of the above mentioned topics to employees and Client contacts at every level of an organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Required Travel Up to 60% throughout their Area, and 5-10% nationwide for projects, as needed.
