Provides a variety of cleaning duties and maintains the building to ensure the upkeep, neatness, and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
• Knowledge of effective cleaning and sanitizing practices, general building and grounds maintenance practices and procedures including proper safety precautions.
• Cleans windows, dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Empty trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds and cleans trash cans.

• No formal education required.
• Six months experience performing general janitorial and general maintenance duties.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Ability to meet attendance requirements, read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to perform strenuous work, lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 75 lbs). Duties performed standing and involve squatting, climbing, bending, walking. Physical effort required walking, standing, lifting, carrying.

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to dirt, dust, disagreeable sights and/or odors, and various temperatures.
