Cost Accounting Manager - Hypergrowth AI Technology - Onsite

We are partnering with a hyper-growth AI technology manufacturing company in the San Francisco Bay Area that is expanding its global operations and investing in its finance organization. They are seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to support and strengthen their cost and inventory accounting function.

This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Operations and plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and cost accounting data across ERP systems and Excel-based models.

• Own cost accounting and inventory reporting, including COGS, standard costs, and manufacturing variances
• Manage the cost and inventory close cycle, ensuring accurate and timely financials
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A to align financial results with plant performance
• Analyze production costs and provide insights into efficiencies, margin drivers, and cost reduction opportunities
• Oversee inventory controls, cycle counts, and valuation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Lead improvements to systems, processes, and controls related to cost accounting and ERP data
• Support planning activities such as standard cost updates, budgeting, and forecasting for manufacturing spend
• Act as a key point of contact for audits related to inventory and cost accounting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• 7+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong background in standard costing, inventory, and variance analysis
• Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing data
• Track record of improving processes or supporting system implementations
