Make an Impact

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive IT Procurement Specialist to join our IT team. This role is essential for supporting our day-to-day IT procurement functions and ensuring the timely acquisition of hardware, software, and services. You will work directly with the IT Procurement Lead to manage a high volume of requests, improve processes, and help alleviate a significant backlog.

This is a critical support role that will help reduce operational risks, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure our teams have the technology they need to succeed. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem‑solver who is comfortable with both administrative tasks and vendor communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Order Processing:
Assist in the end-to‑end procurement process, including creating purchase orders, managing requisitions, and tracking orders for IT hardware (laptops, monitors, etc.) and software licenses.
  • Service Ticket Management:
Triage and process incoming IT service requests from Service Now, ensuring they are accurately categorized and routed for fulfillment.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Communication:
Act as a point of contact for routine inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding order status and product availability.
  • Inventory and Asset Management:
Help maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory using spreadsheets (Excel) and other tracking tools.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
Assist in tracking contracts, renewals, and cost‑saving initiatives. Help prepare reports on procurement activities and spending.
  • Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline manual tasks and contribute to the improvement of procurement workflows, particularly within Service Now.
What You Should Bring
  • 1‑3 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or operations support role, preferably within an IT department.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (Service Now is a significant plus). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Smartsheet) for data tracking and management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing and record‑keeping.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to learn, take on new challenges, and help build more efficient processes.
  • Familiarity with IT hardware, software licensing models (e.g., Adobe, Microsoft), and technology vendors is highly desirable.
Why Join Us?
  • High Impact:
Your work will directly address critical operational challenges and contribute to the stability and efficiency of our IT department.
  • Growth Opportunity:
This is a chance to grow your procurement career in a complex, multi‑faced organization and learn from experienced leaders.
  • Build from the Ground Up:
You’ll play a key role in helping to mature and formalize IT processes in a company undergoing a significant transformation.

  • Access to mental health & well‑being service.
