Position: Full-Time Cree Language Educational Assistant
Join the effort to enrich children’s education as an Educational Assistant III focused on Cree Language and Culture in Saskatoon. This full-time position emphasizes collaboration with community and Elders.

As an Educational Assistant, you'll work directly under the classroom teacher to help students thrive and achieve independence.

Your role will involve delivering educational programs while maintaining relationships with local residents, businesses, and cultural organizations. Supportive and respectful interactions with students facing challenges are essential, requiring at least one year of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support student independence and optimal potential

• Aid in delivering Cree Language and Culture educational programming

• Work collaboratively with Elders and the First Nations community

• Promote positive community-school relationships

• Professionally de-escalate and support students

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• One year of post-secondary education related to education or special programs

• Strong knowledge of First Nations culture

• Fluency in Cree, Y dialect preferred or willingness to learn

• Valid driver's license and reliable transport
