Become an impactful DHH Education Support Teacher, offering vital educational assistance in New Brunswick. This full-time, permanent position is focused on creating meaningful, adaptive learning experiences for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
As a pivotal member of the education team, you will collaborate with families, classroom teachers, and community partners to develop and execute personalized educational strategies. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring that each learner thrives academically and socially in an inclusive environment tailored to their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive support to DHH educational teams and families
• Partner with teachers on responsive instructional practices
• Encourage and facilitate family involvement in learning
• Keep abreast of DHH assessment tools and processes
• Provide access to technology that promotes active learning
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in deaf education or related field
• Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certificate
• Experience working with children with DHH
• Proficiency in ASL communication
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
