Location: Martensville
Join Habonim’s Jewish Heritage School as a Grade 6 Teacher guiding students in Hebrew and Jewish studies. This part-time role involves engaging lesson plans and diverse teaching styles.
As an enthusiastic educator, you will lead mixed-grade classes covering basic Hebrew, Jewish history, and ethics. Your creativity in lesson planning is vital for both in-person and online learning environments. You will foster a positive social atmosphere while managing classroom dynamics and communicating effectively with families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare dynamic lesson plans following the curriculum
• Facilitate engaging class activities with enthusiasm
• Manage class behavior and encourage student interaction
• Communicate regularly with families and take attendance
• Report on classroom activities to the Director of Education
Requirements:
• Understanding of Hebrew and Jewish studies
• Experience teaching elementary-aged children
• Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles
• Proficient with online teaching tools like Zoom
• At least 21 years old and legally able to work in Canada
