Eligibility criteria
  • You must be a military spouse or common‐law partner of a serving Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) member.
  • You must not already be employed as a permanent (indeterminate) employee in the federal public service.
  • Your serving CAF member spouse/partner must be a member of the Regular Force or the Reserve Force on Class C service or Class B reserve service of more than 180 consecutive days.
  • If you are a surviving spouse/common law partner of a CAF member whose death is attributable to service, you are eligible. If you have a priority entitlement as a surviving spouse/common law partner, please identify this in your application.

Note:

All of the eligibility criteria will be verified. As part of our review, we verify relationship and marital status. Please ensure that your spouse/common‑law partner’s records are up to date with their orderly room. Your information is verified through Guardian and not the Military Personal Record Résumé (MPRR).
