Retail Sales Representative General Mills/Blue Buffalo
Part‑Time Retail Sales Representative – Saskatoon, SK (Wanuskewin) – Approx. 26‑30 hours/week
Rate: $22.00/hour + mileage reimbursement.
Team:
Supporting 3 Tier 1 CPG manufacturers – Blue Buffalo, Yoplait Liberté, and General Mills Canada.

Your role is to identify business development opportunities to drive sales within an assigned geographical territory.
A bit about the clients: General Mills™ (Cheerios, Nature Valley, Pillsbury, Old El Paso, etc.), Blue Buffalo Pet Foods, and Yoplait Liberté Canada Co. (Liberte, Yoplait, YOP). These brands are enjoyed in more than 100 countries on six continents.
What You’ll Be Doing Every Day:
- Represent all 3 clients in a professional manner by providing retail customers with the best service.
- Work with your Manager to set territory goals based on company objectives and develop strategies to meet and/or establish targets by:
- Developing customer relations to become a trusted advisor.
- Introducing new products and promotional events into the market.
- Leveraging selling skills to solicit orders for account bookings and allocation.
- Closing distribution gaps by confirming correct shelf tags are present in compliance with account listing & store planograms.
- Ensuring supply availability through merchandising product and checking order/inventory status.
- Negotiating space for and building Gold Standard displays to maximize points of interruption and correcting previously agreed display implementations.
- Using sales tools provided to identify opportunities & gaps and determine action plans to drive sales, improve distribution, recognize underperforming categories, and increase overall profitability in your territory.
- Recognizing and utilizing regional sales trends to maximize in‑store performance.
- Providing feedback and insight on retail conditions and/or issues as they are encountered.
- Other duties as required.
Your
Experience:
- Ideally 1‑3 years of territory sales and merchandising experience in CPG.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Amazing relationship‑building skills.
- Strong selling skills.

- Ability to influence/lead change.
- Positive attitude and a growth mindset.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Careful strategic planning and ability to self‑support with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.

- Full access to a reliable vehicle.
- High‑speed internet with WiFi at home.
- The ability to store some supplies at home and transport them in your vehicle.
- Some overnight travel may be required in remote areas.
