Stantec offers an opportunity for a Junior Vegetation Ecologist in Manitoba’s vibrant ecological sector, focusing on oil and gas, mining, and transportation projects. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in collecting data and writing assessments, enhancing project outcomes.
This position requires your engagement in wetland assessments and participation in various ecological inventory projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to work both independently and within team settings, adhering to HSSE policies and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct wetland and biological assessments rigorously
• Collaborate on ecological planning and assessments
• Assist in mapping wetlands and vegetation community data
• Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance protocols
• Participate actively in safety and environmental procedures
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology, Biology, or related discipline
• At least three years of applicable fieldwork experience
• Familiarity with plant identification and classification
• Proficiency in relevant software applications
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
