The role is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation, monitoring, and management of information security controls, policies, and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and publish information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines in line with best practices and compliance requirements
- Generate, monitor, and follow up on baseline scan and system hardening compliance checks
- Handle security incidents and alerts from GCSOC, GICS, and security devices
- Compile, review, and monitor access rights reports
- Perform regular user and infrastructure account/login reviews
- Handle and assess reported phishing emails
- Manage and track security advisories from GITSIR and Principals
- Review and follow up on security events generated by Splunk, Arc Sight, and other SIEM tools
- Perform vulnerability assessments (VA), generate regular VA reports, and track remediation for vulnerabilities identified from:
- Servers
- Web applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders on security risk management, mitigation, and remediation measures
- Perform patch management activities, including:
- Maintaining current knowledge of available patches
- Identifying appropriate patches
- Coordinating with Operations teams to ensure timely patch deployment
- Liaise with auditors and support IT security audits and reviews
- Track and follow up on open audit issues until closure
- Identify and escalation critical security issues, violations, or risks
- Highlight security posture, status, and concerns to management
- Provide periodic security reporting to management
- Act as the point of contact for ICT security-related matters, providing advice and guidance as required
- Minimum 6 years of experience in:
- ICT End User Computing
- Infrastructure Support
- Service Desk Agent experience with:
- Networking
- System Administration
- Exposure to ICT project management
- Expert-level troubleshooting and analytical skills to support:
- Level 1 and Level 2 Desktop Support
- Designing multiple solution approaches
- Evaluating solutions in test environments
- Implementing optimal solutions in production
- Strong documentation skills to ensure solutions are reusable for future troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to customers and senior stakeholders (including VIPs)
