Security Professional - Hospital Patrol

Position: Security Professional - Hospital Patrol - Multiple Shifts
Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law.

This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Pay Rate: $18.37 / Hour

Schedules:

* Thursday 0100 - 0700, Thursday to Saturday 1900 - 0700

* Wednesday 1300 - 1900, Thursday to Saturday 0700 - 1900

* Sunday to Tuesday 0700 - 1900, Wednesday 0700 - 1300

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

* Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas while assisting with visitor access, directional support, and other security-related duties consistent with site expectations.

* Support staff and guests during medical-related emergencies, evacuations, and/or other urgent events by following post orders and notifying appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

* A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.

* Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.

* Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.

* Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

* Must be at least 21 years of age.

* Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.

* A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
