How This Role Works:

* Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

* Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, screening access at entry points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.

* Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, processing visitor entry, maintaining access logs, and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.

* Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders as needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and designated restricted areas, remaining aware of conditions that could impact operations at a chemical and petrochemical location.

* Support site rules for deliveries, vehicles, and contractor movement by checking authorizations, directing traffic flow at access points, and helping to deter unauthorized entry into controlled areas.

Minimum Requirements:

* Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.

* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

* A guard card and/or license is preferred.

* Customer service experience is preferred.

* CPR certification is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
