Position descriptionA post-doctoral fellowship is available in the Myeloma/Leukemia group, Department of Hematology, College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, AZ, USA. This one-year renewable position will be focus on high-resolution genomics and epigenomics studies in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, emphasizing the discovery and functional validation of molecular pathways associated with the pathogenesis and evolution of the diseases. The candidate will join a comprehensive research program at Mayo Clinic and will be in contact with leading investigators in the field.
Desired skills and experience:
Eligible applicants should be highly motivated and be able to work in a collaborative environment. The applicant should have a PhD with significant laboratory experience in molecular biology and a strong commitment to pursuing a career as an academic hematology researcher. Bioinformatics background is also desired. The applicant will be expected to be involved in several research projects and contribute to the writing of grant applications and publications.

A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Must have a Ph.D. or M.D. and Ph.D. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
