Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Welder I to join our fabrication team at our Northeast Panel Plant in Red Hill, PA. This position will introduce the welder to the prefabrication of steel wall panels for commercial buildings. This position is ideal for candidates who have completed a welding program or apprenticeship and are looking to build hands‑on experience in a professional shop environment.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced welders and supervisors while developing technical skills and learning industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic welding operations using MIG welding processes, as assigned.
  • Read and interpret basic shop drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
  • Prepare materials for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, and cleaning.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly use and care for welding equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment.
  • Support senior welders and supervisors with general production tasks.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a welding program, technical school, or vocational training preferred.
  • Basic understanding of welding principles and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Entry‑level welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) preferred.
  • Prior shop, manufacturing, or construction experience.
  • Reliable attendance and positive work ethic.
