Skills Needed: While a university or college degree is preferred, it's not a core requirement to teach English in Cambodia. Government-regulated TESOL, TEFL or CELTA certification is a core requirement for placement in our partner network. Applicants must have:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (Any field)
• Completed, accredited 120-hour or above TEFL, TESOL, CELTA
• 6 Months teaching or tutoring experience
• English first language speakers from USA/Canada/UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand
• Must be based in Central America, South America or South-East Asia (Mexico/Brazil/Cambodia/Thailand/Vietnam/Bali etc.)
• Computer literate
• Clear criminal record
• Engaging and inspiring communication skills
• Punctual and precise timekeeping
• Available to fit into allocated teaching shift slots

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

• PC specifications: 
  • Processor:
    Intel ® Core™ i5 (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). (4 CPUs) or greater 
  • Memory: 8GB RAM or greater 
• Backup power:  
  • Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is applicable and a non-negotiable requirement for candidates based in a country where regular power interruptions occur.
• A stable fibre internet connection:
  • At a minimum of 20 mbps upload and download speeds 
  • PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection  
• Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera
  • Back-up headset is highly recommended 
• Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment

• be a fluent English speaker
• Two years’ of teaching experience in the Early Years
• have up-to-date knowledge and experience of teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage and in particular experience with a play-based approach to learning
• able to work closely as part of a team whilst also contributing to the life of the school as a whole

Desirable

• have experience working in a bilingual kindergarten with a co-teaching model
• 5 years experience of leading a class across the Foundation.
