Your Role
As a Gensler Technical Designer, you will collaborate with our Design Directors to develop design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of projects. You will be successful because you are an excellent communicator and collaborator who helps translate initial visions into realized BIM models and images, while addressing artistic and/or technical issues as they arise. WhatYou Will Do
- Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives.
- Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
- Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited school.
- 3-6 years of related architecture experience; residential and/or senior living project experience preferred, but not required.
- Interest in architecture for residential multifamily design.
- Proficiency in Revit is required.
- Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as CAD, Revit, Octane, 3dViz, 3ds MAX, and/or Rhino utilizing V‑Ray.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Sketch Up.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements.
- Demonstrated progress on AXP and/or ARE exams.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper, is a plus.
The base salary will be estimated between $75,000 - $82,000 annually, plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
