Job OverviewWe are searching for a Designer with an interest in interiors to join our team in Seattle. As a Gensler Designer, you will combine creativity and technical knowledge to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. Responsibilities- Collaborate on projects to hone your skills in programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Brainstorm interior architecture approaches to meet the Clients’ needs.
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
- Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
- Collaborate within our team structure to deliver the best work for our Clients.
- Partner with product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to develop a knowledge of finishes and furniture.
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
- Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples.
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited school.
- 2-5 years of interior design project experience.
- Outstanding graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas throughout the process. Portfolios should include well‑organized examples of design work during school as well as relevant finish palettes, test fittings, working visualizations, and design documentation completed during internships or previous positions.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch Up, and Revit (highly preferred).
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices.

The base salary will be estimated between $72,000 - $82,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
