Estimator, Engineering, Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Seattle, WA, supporting light industrial equipment projects within the energy and utilities sector. This role is ideal for an estimating professional with experience in construction, mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or related project environments who enjoys analyzing scope, preparing accurate cost estimates, and helping projects move successfully from bid to execution.

The Estimator will join a stable, team-oriented work environment with supportive leadership, strong internal collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to projects for a growing organization with a solid industry reputation. This position offers the chance to work closely with project managers, operations teams, vendors, and subcontractors while building a long-term career path in a specialized and in-demand field.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for light industrial equipment and related construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, drawings, technical documentation, and scope requirements.
- Solicit, compare, and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and vendors throughout the bidding and preconstruction process.
- Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities, scope gaps, and potential estimating issues.
- Maintain estimating documentation, bid records, project files, and support project handoff after award.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 per year.
