Dedicated Cloud Engineer, ADC Faraday

The AWS Region Services team is hiring a cleared Dedicated Cloud Engineer to support cloud security services for the U.S. Intelligence Community. Our team is tasked with protecting the AWS infrastructure that is used by our National Security customers.

• Operate within the team of peer engineers with personal autonomy to solve complex system engineering problems through innovative approaches.
• Provide guidance on system architecture and recommend solutions in alignment with systems engineering best practices.
• Diagnose and fix critical system failures in high‑pressure situations to reduce Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).
• Engineer operational improvements to reduce operational efforts to keep the lights on.
• Troubleshoot unknown‑unknown problems into known‑known root causes using holistic knowledge of systems to isolate and resolve issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of systems administration (Linux/Windows) experience.
• Experience working with scripting languages such as Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, or Shell.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

• 1+ years of cloud computing technologies experience.
• 1+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience.
• 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
• Experience automating routine tasks.

Salary range: 91,000.00 –  USD annually.
