AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure to keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that enable continual customer access to the innovation they rely on. The team includes software, hardware, network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles who collaborate across AWS to deliver safety, security, and capacity at minimal cost while fostering an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas.
Responsibilities- Lead development and execution of regional capacity scaling strategies for multiple non‑standard infrastructure programs
- Work with regional capacity delivery teams to plan deployment and scaling activities
- Coordinate project activities with other relevant projects to gain both cost and execution efficiencies
- Solve problems and remove blockers to timely capacity delivery
- Identify opportunities to invent and simplify processes, identify business risks, and implement resolutions and scalable mechanisms
- Communicate ideas to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informative to needing approvals from executives
- Determine process health metrics and key performance indicators and develop data visualization reports illustrating process health
- Develop and implement scalable, data‑driven process improvements
- Develop standard operating procedures, change/communication plans, and project/program‑level status updates
- Drive adoption with internal stakeholders through effective change management
- Keep the customer experience as the primary focus
Engage with local project teams to plan, execute, and monitor build projects; work with finance and procurement teams to fund and purchase equipment and materials; look downstream to identify risks to schedule and cost; work with partner teams to identify opportunities to deliver capacity better, faster, cheaper without compromising quality or increasing schedule risk; and collaborate with customer teams to plan more effectively for the future.
BasicQualifications
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software)
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
Salary range: $127,100 – $171,900 USD annually, depending on location. Package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
