Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to join our team in Seattle, WA.

The Superintendent will provide daily scheduling of technician resources, including subcontractor coordination, site supervision, monitor the performance of all field staff members, and be very involved with all projects under construction assigned. This role will engage with customer communications, project scheduling, quality control, managing labor hours, materials usage and planning, and supporting project related documentation. You will be the single-point-of-contact for our projects, and responsible for coordinating various trades throughout project’s life cycle.

The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach apprentice level technicians a variety of skills within the Low Voltage, Audio Visual and Security industry and assist senior level technicians with troubleshooting/problem solving more complex installations.

Responsibilities
  • Review project requirements and installation plan with the project team
  • Schedule projects with project management and assign technical and asset resources
  • Communicate with all internal project team members
  • Review job packages upon receipt for job cost accuracy
  • Review and keep current job labor reports for all open projects – ensure hours spent on projects are within budget
  • Administer a corrective action plan when hours being used are in excess of the budgeted hours.
  • Review system installations to ensure best practices are used
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to optimize their performance
  • Ensure technicians maintain appropriate appearance and conduct on all assigned projects
  • Facilitate the staging of materials for projects
  • Ensure project team has the proper tools for the job
  • Close out projects in a timely manner and obtain customer sign-off
  • Compile and deliver all project final deliverables
  • Facilitate and assist in client trainings on an as needed basis
  • Travel to sites required throughout employment , local travel only, typically
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services
  • Any additional required tasks
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in A ccess control, I ntrusion, L ocking mechanisms and S urveillance cameras , Telecommunications and Audio Visual Systems.
  • Valid Washington State EL06 (Limited Energy) License, with the ability to maintain active licensure throughout employment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and completing projects within budget and schedule
  • In-depth knowledge of low voltage systems, industry standards, and regulations
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record
  • Industry education and experience required
  • Experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficient with Computers and Troubleshooting

  • Ability to operate as part of a team
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Work well in busy environment, with a willingness to pivot and redirect as needed
  • Self-driven to enhance overall industry knowledge
  • Ability to obtain and maintain/renew system product certifications as necessary for project requirements
  • Additional Trade specific certifications will be required:
    Example:
    Audio Visual (AVIXA) or Structured Cabling/OSP (BICSI)
  • Ability to obtain Hilti, Fall Protection, Scissor/Boom Lift, Confined Space Certifications
  • Ability to obtain OSHA
