Reporting to Motorola Solutions’ Area Sales Manager, the Channel Account Manager (CAM) – Professional Commercial Radio acts as the primary contact for all PCR solutions enablement initiatives with Motorola Solutions’ Channel Partners in the assigned territory, proactively managing relationships and deploying enablement actions and strategies to grow business and meet territory revenue goals.
Job DescriptionThe Channel Account Manager is responsible for developing relationships with PCR Partners and educating them on PCR solutions. The CAM should understand and articulate how Motorola Solutions can help partners sell more and deliver greater value to their customers.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with product, marketing, and field sales teams to ensure smooth rollout of promotions and business initiatives.
- Work with PCR Partners to ensure their staff have completed appropriate training and conduct live product demonstrations.
- Support Motorola’s PCR sales activities in the territory by creating and nurturing new enablement and marketing opportunities.
- Identify and develop new markets, determine end‑user needs through channel partners, and engage Channel Sales Executives to close opportunities.
- Assist territory leaders in establishing quarterly and annual sales objectives for assigned Channel Partners.
- Track sales activities using lead and project tracking software.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including Channel Sales Executives, Area Sales Managers, Inside Sales, and Sales Engineering.
- Utilize Motorola’s proprietary resources and tools to implement effective sales enablement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of sales/public‑safety experience, or 6+ years of sales/public‑safety experience.
- 2+ years of partner or customer‑interfacing experience.
- Strong technical acumen and ability to discuss products and solutions.
- Ability to accurately forecast revenue weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Proven record of achieving sales results and building collaborative relationships.
- Strong understanding of Motorola’s go‑to‑market strategy and sales philosophy.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft and Google Apps, especially Excel/Sheets.
- Established client base in the assigned territory is a plus.
- Applicants must reside in WA, OR, , MT, AK, WY, CO, UT, AZ, NM, West TX, or South NV.
- Travel expected up to 50–75% of the time within the territory; air travel limited.
Target base salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 USD.
