Research Scientist, Clinical Research
The Molecular Dynamics Lab () at the Center for Integrative Brain Research, Seattle Children's Research Institute, invites applications for a postdoctoral position. Funded projects in the lab focus on protein interaction dynamics during signal transduction events, in model signal transduction systems that include the neuronal excitatory synapse, the mTOR pathway, and the chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell. The overall goal of the lab is to use quantitative multiplexed co-immunoprecipitation (QMI) technology to move the study of protein interaction dynamics closer to
-omic scale by defining the molecular logic of signal transduction.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform precise wetlab work and complex bioinformatics analyses using MATLAB and R programming. They will work closely with technicians and graduate/undergraduate students to independently advance projects, write papers, and apply for F32 or equivalent grants. Prior experience in molecular biology, neurobiology, T cell immunology, and/or working with mouse models of neuropsychiatric disease is a plus.
Creative, big-picture thinking and dedication academic research are essential.
In your application, please refer to our recent publications and suggest which of the lab's three themes you best fit into: synaptic transmission in neuropsychiatric disease (PMID ), mTOR signaling in neurons (PMID ), or CAR T cell signal transduction ). Emailed inquiries to seps are always welcomed.
