OverviewSedron Technologies is hiring a talented VP of Supply Chain & Procurement to work in Chicago, IL, Bellingham, WA, Sedro-Woolley, WA, or remotely within the United States. Sedron is a leading provider of circular waste management technologies for agricultural manure and municipal biosolids processing, deploying facilities across several North American regions. Since its founding in 2014, Sedron has pioneered innovative solutions, including the patented Varcor® system, transforming waste into clean water, organic fertilizer, and carbon‑negative commodities.
The VP will design, build, and lead an enterprise supply chain function that supports the company’s next phase of growth as it scales its design‑build‑own‑operate‑maintain model. Key responsibilities include improving governance, standardizing procure‑to‑pay, strengthening supplier management, enhancing inventory and material control, and building support for project delivery, manufacturing, and operating sites. The role demands strategic and tactical leadership in a fast‑growing, engineering‑intensive environment.
Responsibilities- Design and implement the enterprise supply chain operating model, including sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics, supplier management, and transactional controls.
- Establish governance, delegation of authority, approval workflows, and clear decision rights across supply‑chain activities.
- Standardize the procure‑to‑pay process, covering requisitioning, sourcing, purchase order issuance, release, receive, and payment (three‑way match, invoice resolution, exception handling).
- Lead strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management, including qualification, governance, pricing strategy, negotiations, contract standards, and performance measurement.
- Improve inventory accuracy, receiving discipline, warehouse practices, and material master governance across manufacturing, project, and operating environments.
- Partner with engineering and project delivery leaders to enhance scope lock, stage‑gate discipline, BOM readiness, and engineering change management prior to major purchasing commitments.
- Build effective supply‑chain support for operating and maintenance teams, covering MRO, spare parts, logistics coordination, and site‑level replenishment.
- Support implementation and adoption of ERP and related systems using standardized processes and minimal customization.
- Establish KPI dashboards, operating reviews, and continuous‑improvement routines to enhance service, cost, inventory, supplier performance, and process compliance.
- Ensure supply‑chain processes and records meet compliance requirements, including insurance, documentation, domestic content, and other vendor obligations.
- Directly supervise a supply‑chain organization that may include sourcing managers, buyers, expediters, inventory and materials personnel, logistics coordinators, and procurement operations staff.
- Hire, train, coach, and manage performance of the supply‑chain team.
- Provide work direction, set priorities, and evaluate performance across team members and, where relevant, dotted‑line site or project support roles.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply‑chain operations, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive supply‑chain leadership experience, including sourcing, procurement, inventory/materials management, and cross‑functional process improvement in manufacturing, engineered equipment, energy, environmental services, or related environments.
- Relevant certifications such as APICS/ASCM, CPSM, CSCP, PMP, Lean, or similar are preferred but not required.
