Head of Accounts – UAE (Sharjah)

Salary:
Up to AED 35,000 per month + benefits | Monday–Friday

We are currently partnering with a leading manufacturing business within the lubricants sector to appoint a Head of Accounts based in Sharjah.

This is a senior, hands‑on finance leadership role responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting operations and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the business.

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
• Ensure accurate preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and variance analysis
• Manage inventory valuation, product costing, and cost control processes in collaboration with operations
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and support banking and treasury activities
• Supervise AR performance including collections, ageing, and export‑related billing processes
• Oversee AP function including supplier payments, compliance, and cost efficiency
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS, VAT, and local regulatory requirements
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure a clean audit process
• Lead and develop the accounting team, driving performance and accountability

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred)
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership responsibility
• Strong experience in manufacturing and/or downstream oil & gas environments is essential
• Proven expertise in month-end close, financial reporting, AR/AP, and inventory/cost accounting
• Strong understanding of IFRS, VAT, and internal controls
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team
• High attention to detail with a strong operational and hands‑on approach
