Patient Access Registrar

Theda Care -  -  - Responsibilities:
Assigns MRNs, conducts medical necessity/compliance checks, collects insurance information, processes physician orders, and provides excellent customer service.;
Operates the telephone switchboard to relay calls inside and outside the organization.;
Performs pre-registration of patient accounts, including obtaining demographics and insurance details and collecting point-of-service payments.;
Explains consent for treatment forms and obtains signatures; distributes patient education documents.;
Reviews insurance eligibility responses and enters benefit data to support point-of-service collections and billing.
