Key Responsibilities Deliver Innovation – Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement- Lead the transformation of Shawnee supply chain processes in a data‑driven environment
- Own SAP By Design optimization for the site — driving data integrity, process standardization and system discipline across the supply chain team
- Drive SIOP process maturity; ensure planning cycles reflect the right balance of customer demand, site capacity and supply reality
- Own and develop the site capacity model — providing leadership with an accurate, up‑to‑date view of site capacity to support order acceptance, new work approval decisions and right‑sizing of teams to overall demand
- Build and maintain supply chain dashboards and KPIs
- Identify and implement digital tools and automation that improve supply chain visibility, accuracy and operational efficiency
- Build a continuous improvement culture — structured problem‑solving, measurable outcomes and year‑on‑year performance uplift
- Own all on‑site supply chain SOPs and policies; maintain and update in partnership with Quality and other relevant functions
- Own sourcing strategy for critical raw materials — identifying requirements, evaluating supply options and executing procurement; leverage the Shawnee Procurement function for negotiation support where appropriate
- Develop and maintain supply risk strategies for critical inputs — ensuring appropriate safety stock positions, multi‑vendor options and distributed storage where warranted; eliminating over‑reliance on any single vendor, location or storage strategy
- Directly accountable for reducing total inventory on hand — driving right‑sized safety stock positions, correcting ERP‑driven distortions and eliminating excess and obsolete stock
- Monitor supply market conditions continuously; translate risk signals into sourcing and stocking decisions before disruption occurs
- Own the operational response to major supply issues — escalating and resolving with urgency
- Oversee all site warehousing and distribution operations — including cold chain, controlled substances (DEA scheduled), USDA/APHIS‑licensed biologics, clinical and commercial finished goods distribution, and GDP‑compliant logistics — ensuring full regulatory compliance across inbound, on‑site and outbound supply chain activities
- Maintain full lot traceability, quarantine management and documentation integrity across the warehouse and distribution function, in close partnership with Quality
- Manage 3PL relationships for Shawnee — holding providers accountable to service, cost and compliance standards
- Build and maintain the site production schedule in close partnership with Manufacturing — ensuring supply chain inputs, material
- Relevant experience and qualification in supply chain, logistics, business, science or a related field; post‑graduate qualification an advantage
- Minimum 8 years' experience in supply chain, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience must be within a CDMO environment — human health or animal health
- Proven senior supply chain leadership experience within a CDMO — human health or animal health manufacturing; candidates without direct CDMO operating experience will not progress regardless of broader pharmaceutical background
- Deep working knowledge of ERP systems in a GMP manufacturing context; hands‑on SAP experience (By Design or equivalent) with a demonstrable track record of driving system optimization and data discipline
- Demonstrated ability to own and mature SIOP/S&OP processes in a complex, multi‑product manufacturing environment
- Direct experience managing customer relationships in a CDMO context
- Proven track record of leading teams and functions through significant change — operating model redesign, system transformation or process overhaul in a live manufacturing environment
- Track record of building, developing and where necessary reshaping high‑performing teams; willing to make difficult talent decisions and hold the bar high
