JOB TITLE:
Maintenance Laborer
ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT:
Maintenance
SUPERVISOR:
Director of Maintenance
Pay Range: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
FLSA:
Non-Exempt
** Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable**
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS:
In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, including drywall repair, carpentry, painting, remodeling, and other essential maintenance tasks. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and functioning optimally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform routine maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems.
• Repair and install drywall, including taping, mudding, and finishing.
• Carry out carpentry work, including framing, installation of trim, and other woodwork as needed.
• Execute remodeling projects, including renovations, flooring installation, and layout modifications.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Troubleshoot and repair general maintenance issues
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects efficiently.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
• Knowledge of drywall, carpentry, painting, and remodeling techniques.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
• Rare but when needed, the willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
