The Certification & Compliance Project Engineer - Industrial Equipment is a key technical contributor within the Product Development organization, responsible for driving product certification and compliance activities to ensure industrial generator systems meet global regulatory requirements and business objectives. These products support critical infrastructure worldwide, powering essential services that protect health, enable communication, and safeguard data.
This Certification & Compliance Project Engineer - Industrial Equipment role applies expertise in international standards and regulations to develop and execute certification strategies, coordinate testing with regulatory authorities and third-party agencies, and maintain the technical documentation required for global market access. This role will be working cross-functionally with engineering and product development teams and operate with a high degree of autonomy while driving continuous improvement in compliance tools and processes.
The Certification & Compliance Project Engineer - Industrial Equipment position also supports emissions compliance and proactively identifies and mitigates certification risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance on standards and regulations related to engines, emissions, and industrial generator systems
• Partner with product development teams to define, implement, and maintain certification strategies for new and existing products
• Lead exhaust emissions documentation, certification, and compliance activities for internally and externally sourced engines
• Coordinate certification testing and compliance activities with government agencies and independent third-party organizations
• Develop, maintain, and manage technical files to support regulatory submissions and market access
• Identify and mitigate regulatory risks throughout the product development lifecycle
