Responsibilities:
- Handle the full cycle of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger updates, and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly financial statements such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations while monitoring cash flow to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll bi-weekly and semi-monthly using Paycor, ensuring wages, benefits, and deductions are properly reported.
- Administer retirement plan contributions and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with leadership and external partners for quarterly reviews, year-end reporting, and tax preparation.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary financial records and addressing auditor inquiries.
- Track office lease payments and deadlines, providing updates to leadership on important dates and requirements.
- Oversee property tax filings and payments to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Maintain and recommend improvements to accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance. Requirements - Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Advanced knowledge of Quick Books and familiarity with Sage or equivalent systems.
- Demonstrated experience processing payroll and managing HR workflows in Paycor or similar platforms.
- Strong expertise in benefits administration, including handling health plans and retirement plans.
- Solid organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proven capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing corporate tax returns.
- In-depth understanding of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
