メディカル部門/ 循環器・免疫統括部は、「循環器・免疫領域疾患に苦しむ患者さんとその家族の希望をつくる」ために存在する。この存在目的は、本統括部門におけるmission 「日本における循環器・免疫領域の社内外ステイクホルダーからのアンメット・メディカルニーズUMNに迅速かつ適切に答えるために、開発、メディカルリード、メディカルサイエンスリエゾンに跨るチームによって、新薬開発から市販後にわたり切れ目ない戦略を立案、実行し、製品の医学的価値を継続して増強させる」によって達成される。

The vison of Cardiovascular & Immunoscience, Japan Medical (CV/IM, JM) is to bring hope to patients with cardiovascular/ immunological diseases and their families. The world of the vision should look once we achieve the mission of CV/IM, JM, i.e., to create and execute seamless strategies to fulfil unmet medical needs of internal & external stakeholders and to maximize the clinical value of products by facilitating boundless collaboration between clinical development, medical lead and medical science liaison from new drug development to post-launch phase.

部長として以下の責任を果たす Fulfill the following responsibilities as the department head.

メディカル・開発部門、循環器・免疫統括部のMissionを達成するため、循環器領域のメディカル戦略の計画・実行責任者としてBMSKKを代表する。 Represent BMSKK as the accountable person of medical strategies for assets in cardiovascular diseases to achieve the mission of CV/IM, Japan Medical.

役割 (Roles & responsibilities)

部運営と部門貢献 Team Management and Division Contribution

  • メディカル部門および循環器・免疫統括部のミッション・ビジョンを適切に理解し、部内メンバーへの浸透を図るとともに自部署の観点からこれを達成する戦略を構築する。Appropriately understand the Mission /Vision of JM & Cardiovascular / Immunoscience, disseminate them among department members and develop strategies to achieve them as the department.
  • 戦略の計画・実行に際しては、社内外ステイクホルダーとの関係、及びステイクホルダー間の相互関係を理解し、相互にトレードオフも生じない状況を構築する。The developed strategies should be planned and executed without any trade-offs between internal & external stakeholders.
  • 部内の組織と仕組みの最適化、適切な人材の獲得・開発・指名、スキルの向上、健全な組織風土と共通の価値観の醸成を通じ、チームのパフォーマンスを最大化する。 Maximize the team performance by optimizing organization structure and system, by acquiring, developing and appointing right staffs, by enhancing their skills, and by nurturing healthy organizational culture and common values.
  • メディカル部門全体を通じたシステム・プロセス改善の機会を常に模索し、改善策を提案し、これを実行する。 Continuously seek the opportunity of system/process improvement across entire JM, propose improvement plan and implement it.
  • 適切な人材を確保・アサインしスキルを含めた開発をする。 Recruit and assign right staff and develop them including their skills.
  • 健全な組織風土と共通の価値観を醸成する。 Nurture healthy organizational culture and common values.
  • 循環器Medicalの活動を適切に統括部長に報告する。Appropriately report the department activities to Sr. Director, Cardiovascular and Immunoscience.
  • オフィスメディカル業務 Office Medical Activity (OMA)

  • 循環器領域のメディカル活動(Office Medical Activity; OMA) の責任者としてBMSKKを代表する。 Represent BMSKK as the accountable person of office medical activities for assets in cardiovascular diseases.
  • 領域フランチャイズ及び開発戦略に合致したOMAに関する戦略を高い水準で計画し、計画が予定された時間内で実行されるように適切な対応を行う。Plan OMA strategies aligned with the therapeutic franchise and development strategies with high standard of quality and Taka appropriate actions to execute them within the timeline.
  • 社内ステークホルダー(Japan Development lead, Medical Science Liaison, Franchise lead, Medical capability, senior leadership team etc)から共有された社外ステイクホルダーからの声(medical Voice of Customer; mVOC)及び有益なインサイトを基にUnmet medical needs (UMN)を把握し、循環器領域戦略における効果的なUMNの充足のため迅速な意思決定とその実行に寄与するために必要な対応を行う。 Understand unmet medical needs (UMN) by being shared mVOC of external stakeholders and useful in-sites analyzed from internal stakeholders and Do effective decision-making and Execute strategies to fulfil UMS in cardiovascular diseases.
  • 領域フランチャイズ及び開発戦略に合致したにOMA を計画、実行するために循環器領域メディカルサイエンスリエゾン部と共にBMS Global、アライアンスパートナー(ファイザー株式会社メディカル部)との積極的な交流と協働を確保する。Engage and collaborates with BMS global/alliance counterpart (Pfizer Japan, Medical) to align with Japan medical、Franchise and development strategy.
  • 循環器領域メディカル部スタッフの医学的専門性、コミュニケーションスキルを高い水準に育成、維持するために必要な社内トレーニングの企画・実施・トラッキングを行う。Plan, implement and track internal trainings to improve and maintain medical expertise and communication skills of staff in Cardiovascular Medical Lead department.
  • 必要な知識/スキル (Required knowledge/skills)

    その業務に従事する場合に必要な知識、スキル、経験、コミュニケーション(言語力含む)/協力のレベル、深さ、範囲と言った要素を含む。 (Range of knowledge/skills/experience required and degree/depth/scope of communication (Inc. language skill)/corroboration.)


  • 薬事法、公正競争規約、プロモーションコード、製薬協の諸ルールおよびその他本邦の関連規制に関する知識 Knowledge about Medical Affairs Law, Fair Competition Code (FCC), Promotion Code, JPMA rules and any other applicable regulations in Japan.
  • 日本の医薬品業界における医薬情報提供の基本的知識(MRの役割、医療機関の要求事項・水準)Knowledge about Medical Information activities in Japanese industry including the role of Medical Representatives, expected contents and level among HCP.
  • 担当領域医薬品のデータ構成に関する基本的知識(医薬品開発のphaseと構成、市販直後調査・市販後調査のデータの性質、申請資料のmoduleごとの構成等) Basic knowledge about product-related data scheme including phases and composition of clinical development, characteristics of data from Japanese EPPV and PMS, architecture of Common Technical Document etc.
  • 担当領域疾患(循環器疾患、脳卒中及び血栓症)における基礎科学・臨床学的知識up-to-date advanced knowledge in basic and clinical Cardiology, Neurology (stroke) and Thrombosis.

  • BMSKKおよびBMSの一員として社内外の交渉相手に自分の意図を理解・納得させるための折衝力およびコミュニケーションスキル(プレゼンテーションスキルを含む) Negotiation and communication skills, including presentation skill to make internal/external stakeholders understand and agree on own intent as a member of BMSKK and/or BMS.
  • チームメンバーから評価・信頼を得たうえで、チームを導き、人材を育成し、メンバー間の信頼と自信を醸造し、チーム内の問題を特定・解決するチームマネジメントスキルTeam management skills to lead a team, develop talents, nurture trust and confidence among members, and to identify and address issues in a team through winning appreciation and trust from team members.
  • Experiences

  • 製薬業界または医療分野での業務経験3年以上Three years or more experience in either pharmaceutical industry or healthcare field.
  • メディカル/ フィールドメディカルに関係する業務経験1年以上 One year or more experience in a role related to Medical and/or Field Medical activities.
  • 直属の部下あるいは複数階層あるいはクロスファンクショナルなチームとして5名以上のチームを率いた経験2年以上 Two years or more experiences in supervising five or more member team, either as direct repots or multi-layer.
  • 日本国外のカウンターパートと業務を行った経験があればなお可 Experience to interact with counterpart(s) outside Japan in a working environment is preferable.
  • Qualifications

  • 医学・薬学・獣医学・生命科学分野の学士は必須。これらの分野の修士以上が望ましい。 B.S. in medical / pharmaceutical / veterinarian / life-science area is mandatory. M.S. in these area or above is preferable.
  • 1年以上の臨床現場での職務経験のある薬剤師または医師資格保有者が望ましい。 Licensed pharmacist or medical doctor having one year or more clinical experiences is preferable.
  • Language proficiency

  • 日本語(読み書き) – 医学論文や一般的な業務文書の読解、改まったビジネス文書の作成および添削が完全にできる。 Complete level of written Japanese – can completely understand medical articles and general business documents in Japanese, can write and proofread formal Japanese at business setting.
  • 日本語(会話) – 基本的な医学・科学の議論、社内外関係者との適切な意思疎通ができる。 Complete level of oral Japanese – can have medical and scientific discussions and can communicate in an appropriate manner with internal and external stakeholders
  • 英語(読み書き) – Non-nativeの上級レベル – 医学論文や一般的な業務文書の概略が辞書なしに理解できる。複雑な内容を含め業務のあらゆる内容に関して説明文書を作成できる。 Advanced level of written English as non-native – can understand medical articles and general business documents in English without dictionary, can develop a document for any kind of job-related topics including complex ones.
  • 英語(会話) – Non-nativeの上級者レベル OPA 7.0以上。– 担当業務範囲の話題に関して英語での議論、交渉、説得ができる。グローバルのface-to-faceや電話の会議で自グループを代表することができる。 Advanced level as non-native speaker of oral English. OPA minimum 7.0, preferably 8.0 or over – can discuss, negotiate and persuade in English within the responsible job-related topics, can represent own group in a global meeting, either in face-to-face or through phone.
