Your role Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Night Shift) Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining all production and facility assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient working condition. This role supports plant operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and production equipment. The position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with safety and food production standards.

This role is a night shift position, requiring strong independent work capability along with effective collaboration with production and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, overhauls, and troubleshooting on production and facility equipment
  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and related components
  • Fabricate, weld, and modify equipment or components as needed to support operations
  • Support production and quality teams (QC) to maintain efficient and compliant operations
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify abnormalities to prevent failures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation through CMMS or service logs
  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks such as boilers, compressed air systems, and utilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area; assist with sanitation of maintenance equipment
  • Communicate equipment issues, scheduled repairs, and improvement opportunities effectively
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, QA, and leadership teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and plant goals
  • Complete assigned projects and additional duties as directed by leadership

Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise)
  • Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing setting
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations including LOTO, PPE, and OSHA requirements
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, sanitation, and confidentiality
  • Utilize safe work practices at all times
About you Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
  • Food processing experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on troubleshooting and repair capabilities
  • General mathematical ability and strong problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and inspection processes
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred
