Become a Key Player as a Test Technician
You will help ensure electro and electromechanical assemblies meet specifications by performing tests, diagnostics, and failure analysis. You will work primarily onsite on the 1st shift (M-Th, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM) supporting production and engineering stakeholders to improve product quality and on-time delivery. Your work directly impacts manufacturing throughput and product reliability.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical testing of parts and components per written instructions and procedures
- Set up and operate test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, spectrum/network analyzers, frequency counters, power meters) to verify circuitry and component function
- Troubleshoot circuits and components to the micro component level using schematics and prints
- Conduct diagnostics and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry; provide detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis to production and engineering
- Review shop traveler/route cards and schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow company policies and procedures
- Be available for variable schedules as needed, including nights, weekends, or additional hours
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience testing, debugging, and troubleshooting electronic circuits and electromechanical assemblies
- Strong electrical background and understanding of microelectronics
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum/network analyzers, and other standard test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, prints, and route cards
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications
- Strong attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills
- Formal vocational certifications or apprenticeship completion in electronics or related disciplines
$24.24/hour
