We take our client's visions from concept to release in as little as a few months and often work together to evolve products for years. You'll gain experience with industries that range from banking to transport and have the opportunity to nurture products and see them through to completion and into maintenance.
As a Software Engineer, you'll be a part of the conversation from the start and be involved in full lifecycle projects including technical scoping, design and implementation. Collaborating with UX & UI designers, researchers and other engineers, you will have the ability to flex your software engineering chops to help shape, design and build digital products that help solve key business needs.
Our projects are native mobile apps and web apps, but that doesn't stop us from experimenting with wearables, VR/AR and IoT devices. The clients we partner with range from boutique to multinational, whose users span from travellers to everyday people using mobile banking.
What experience and skills do you need?
Extensive experience developing in .Net and Node.js development,and some experience using .Net Coreâ€‹
Experience with implementing serverless solutions, preferably with AWS
Proficiency with front-end coding skills, preferably with Angular, Vue.js or React.js
Ability to drive the development forward and being able to translate business requirements into pragmatic solutions
A solid history of constantly improving your own knowledge and skills as well as improving processes for your organisation
The confidence (and passion) to work in a client facing role
Writing code that follows SOLID principles, platform-specific conventions and common design patterns
An understanding of architectural choices, including the trade-offs for each
Practical experience in Continuous Integration and writing highly testable code, simplifying Unit Tests
Knowledge of Scrum or Kanban
Interest in taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through resolution
Ability to research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve issues
Willingness to take part in the 24x7 Support program for the customers with support contract in a rotating roster
Experience with mobile development (e.g. Android, iOS)
Functional programming and protocol-oriented programming experience
Skills in securing data in transit and at rest using a variety of encryption techniques
