JOB SUMMARYThe Washbay Roustabout must first and foremost be able and willing to comply with the AES safety policies and the Alaska Safety Handbook and must be willing and able to lead and educate fellow employees in safe work ethics, practices, and behaviors. The Washbay Roustabout must be familiar with confined space entry procedures as entrant and attendant. The Washbay Roustabout must be mechanically inclined for maintenance on various fluid pumps & equipment.
ESSENTIALDUTIES
One or more years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. General knowledge of heavy equipment is preferred.
Applicants are required to use air chipping hammers and high-pressure washer for cleaning inside of tanks and vessels while working with a high-pressure steam boiler.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to tank & vessel cleaning, equipment washing, shop maintenance, steaming tanks, culverts, pipe, etc. while maintaining written legal logbooks on various boilers.
General housekeeping of the shop and break room will be required.
Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class A CDL is required.
A current DOT Medical Card is required.
A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
The ability to work 80.5 - 84 hours a week on a 2x2 or 3x3 rotation rolling into days and nights is required.
At least one (1) year of related training and experience as a Washbay Roustabout is required.
Two (2) or more years of experience working as a Washbay Roustabout specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.
Confined space experience is preferred.
