Job Description
Job is located in Chagrin Falls, OH.
What You Will Do Accounting and Financial Oversight- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting function
- Manage communication with the outside CPA firm
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Oversee accounts receivable and help ensure timely collections
- Oversee accounts payable and help ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time
- Oversee payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule
- Manage cash flow, reporting, and forecasting
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Ensure monthly bank reconciliations are completed accurately
- Reconcile inventory and costing on a monthly basis, including communication with key suppliers
- Help ensure debt obligations and recurring payments are made on time
- Work closely with the outside CPA firm to support a timely month‑end close
- Maintain fixed asset records
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements
- Track financial and operating metrics
- Analyze budget‑to‑actual results and report significant variances to management
- Recommend benchmarks to measure company performance
- Support management reporting and cost analysis
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee company insurance and 401(k) relationships
- Communicate directly with banking partners regarding company credit facilities
- Identify areas for improvement and help implement stronger processes and controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a Controller, Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Quick Books, Excel, and Word
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, cash management, and general accounting processes
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset
- Experience with inventory accounting or cost reconciliation is preferred, but not required
Pay Dependent Upon Experience
Fixed locations in 5 states:
Georgia, Maryland, Ohio, California.
