Job Goal: In collaboration with the K-8 Humanities Coordinator & the Summer Elementary Director, provide leadership in curriculum development, professional learning and instructional coaching to summer program staff.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to equity in educational opportunities and conditions for learning
- Ability to form positive relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with curriculum development and educator collaboration.
- 5+ years teaching/ leadership experience
- MA DESE Elementary License in appropriate grade level or as a reading specialist
- Provide leadership and support in the development, implementation, and revisions of the Somer Session ELA curriculum.
- Provide leadership with the selection of instructional materials and resources for Somer Session.
- Coach and support teachers in planning, delivering, and assessing quality ELA instruction
- Assist teachers to integrate formative assessment into instructional practice
- Develop and conduct professional learning opportunities for teachers connected to the Somer Session ELA curriculum and instruction.
- Meet regularly with the Somer Session Director regarding curriculum and instruction.
- Track student progress over the Somer Session program.
Seasonal/Yearly Employment
July 6, 2026 - July 31, 2026
Hourly Rate: $35 per hour worked
Monday thru Friday, 5 days per week
8:00 am - 1:00 pm
2 Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: TBD
Position Reports to: K-8 Curriculum Coordinators, Director of Summer Elementary Program, & Assistant Director of Summer Elementary Program
