Piping Estimator

A growing contractor specializing in large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects is seeking an experienced Piping Estimator to join its team.

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex projects including data centers, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, and other technically demanding environments. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating piping systems and be comfortable collaborating with project managers, engineers, vendors, and clients throughout the preconstruction process.

• Review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, piping isometrics, and project documents to prepare accurate estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material pricing for piping systems
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals
• Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid packages
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving alternatives
• Coordinate with project management and operations teams during project handoff
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits as needed
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners
• Support multiple bids and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• 3+ years of estimating experience within piping, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or industrial construction
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and piping documents
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost estimating software
• Knowledge of commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, or mission‑critical projects preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams
• Base salary up to $150,000 depending on experience
