Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage automation, electrical, instrumentation, and utilities systems across the mill.
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, ISO, HACCP, and relevant legislation
- Drive plant reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement automation and control strategies, including SCADA, PLCs, and IT production systems
- Manage preventive and planned maintenance programmes to ensure equipment reliability
- Oversee shutdown planning, breakdown analysis, and root cause investigations
- Drive cost management, budgeting, and CAPEX planning for engineering projects
- Lead and develop a high-performing technical team through coaching and mentoring
- Manage external service providers and service level agreements
- Ensure effective asset management and CMMS system utilisation
- Support new plant installations, upgrades, and automation improvements
