Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low‑rise non‑residential buildings in North America, headquartered in Cary, N.C. The company serves customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel markets.

• Prepares estimates from information received such as contract drawings, specifications, and addendums using in‑house pricing software, supplemental design and pricing programs, and information obtained from vendors.
• Identifies exclusions, discrepancies and missing information, obtains clarification, and qualifies the quotation based on that information.
• Provides adds, deducts, or alternates as requested for estimates that require special pricing beyond the current capabilities of the pricing software.
• Ensures the use of the most current pricing information when preparing the estimate.
• Builds and maintains builder/vendor relationships.
• Communicates with builders, sales, customer service and engineering regarding any clarification of scope/design intent that the estimator was involved in.
• Manages and prioritizes multiple workflows simultaneously.
• Continually improves productivity, accuracy and ability.
• Understands the role in the overall system and is willing to step outside that role.
• Reports to estimating manager.
• Travel is not typical; however, for training purposes it may be requested.

• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workflows simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
• Ability to review and interpret project specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Exhibit competency with in‑house design programs and procedures.
• Blue Beam, Top View and AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable on the phone with customers and field sales.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $28–$33 per hour plus medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1, 401(k) and PTO. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, location and additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience and education. Full‑time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.
