The Commercial Loan Processor is responsible for preparing new and renewed commercial loan documentation, ensuring lien perfection on all collateral, completing loan booking and disbursing loans, and processing loan disbursements. The role involves using Laser Pro and DNA systems to manage loan files and adhering to credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Document various types of loans utilizing the Laser Pro software system, including commercial, SBA, and construction loans.
- Collaborate with production assistants and loan officers to facilitate smooth and timely processing of all loan requests.
- Complete booking and disbursement of loans, posting fees to the correct general ledgers for remittance of fees and charges.
- Perfect collateral accurately and timely to ensure credit union lien position according to instructions outlined in the loan documents.
- Upload loans in the Commercial Loan Servicing System (DNA) using the Laser Pro interface.
- Prepare wires in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
- Review the work of fellow commercial loan processors for accuracy, identifying deficiencies or errors that need correction.
- Work as part of the Commercial Services team to assure the highest level of professional service to Credit Union members, both internal and external.
- Display leadership values such as mutual respect, trust, dignity, and act in the best interest of the Credit Union.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding member information.
- Communicate professionally in both oral and written form.
- Continuously inform supervisor of member and work concerns, as well as assignment status through reporting or meetings.
- Attend approved credit union training or seminars and maintain awareness of policies and regulations, including BSA functions.
- Comply with all credit union policies and procedures regarding areas of assignment and responsibility.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of clerical/data entry experience and computer proficiency required; 1 to 2 years’ experience with Laser Pro preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of credit services, lending policies, and credit union services.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and bank software.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to converse with business owners, organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented and collaborative work style.
- Professional conduct, neat and corporate appearance, punctuality, and excellent attendance.
- Knowledge of NCUA and State of Washington compliance and regulatory environment for Member Business Lending.

While the full pay range is listed, most new team members start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach allows room for growth within the role.
