Responsibilities- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- Promote the Scheels Visa card and explain its benefits
- Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
- Maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace
- Engage in conversation with customers to add a personal touch to each transaction
- End each transaction by saying “thank you” to every customer
- Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
- Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
- Perform basic math: compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Write simple correspondence
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers and employees
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills
- Show strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement while contributing to a positive team atmosphere
- Exercise judgment and tact when working with customers or coworkers
- Use strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively and timely with all organization levels
- Work assigned schedules, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Assist in all other duties as assigned
Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available for a minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week are 15–20 hours.

High‑school diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 months of cashiering experience.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
CompensationStarts at $15.00 per hour. Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 4:15 pm and 9 pm Monday‑Friday and 4:30 am to 9:30 pm Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Average hours per week is 20 hours.
