Federal Information Security Training Specialist (*ISSM req'd

Looking for an Information Security Training Coordinator with a well-known and well-established non-profit research organization!

Job Title: Federal Info Sec Training Specialist

Contract Length: 1 year

Job Location: 100% REMOTE;
Preferred residence within driving distance of Santa Monica, CA, but not required.

Work Schedule: M-F, 40 hrs/week

Pay Rate: $75-$90/hr.

• Prior experience working as an ISSM within a federal contractor or government setting
• Experience developing content/curriculum and writing internal policies (i.e. on NIST 800-171 Compliance, CMMC 2.0) on Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Security, and Information Security, in a Government or Federal Contractor environment for internal training purposes

• College degree in Information Technology, or similar
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+)

• This position is responsible for developing a cybersecurity communications program and implementing it for the organization.
• This position will work closely with Information Security, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to ensure that all employees understand cybersecurity risks, data handling, data protection, and are equipped to address them effectively.
• This role involves developing the cybersecurity program, assessing training needs, designing curricula, conducting training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of the programs.
• Additionally, this role will collaborate with security teams to integrate security protocols and incident response procedures into training programs.
